These performances are wonderful, spirited Mendelssohn played and conducted by first-rate musicians. But there is no information about the pieces or the performers. Who are the players in Sinfonia 21? What is the background of Roy Goodman? In fact,he was a child singer with a brilliant treble voice - who would know that without notes? And no background of the pieces - dates of compositions, editions used (I always want to know), age at which Mendelssohn wrote them, etc. SONY should be ashamed - is there any way to get those notes?
