I now have all six volumes of these quartets. I like them all. This one is perhaps my favorite. I am always in search of lesser known quartets by under-rated composers, and these sure do fit the bill. Lovely, melodic music, without being saccharine. If you favor string quartets and cannot listen to Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven all the time, give these well-recorded and beautifully played Alfred Hill pieces a go.
